Ultimate Solution for Bluetooth Issues on Windows 10

This is the final solution when Bluetooth on Windows 10 does not connect, or when Bluetooth is activated (shown in blue) but wireless devices like earphones or speakers cannot connect and just keep scanning.

For those who are somewhat familiar with computers, they may have installed various Bluetooth drivers from the internet but still face issues. This solution is for them.

In my experience repairing customers' computers, I have observed this issue occurring in Windows 10 versions 21H2 and earlier. The cause seems to be a system conflict between the Bluetooth version and Windows 10 version 21H2.

Even after correctly searching for and installing the Bluetooth driver, scanning for Bluetooth devices does not show the device names and the connection fails.

The solution is to manually update Windows 10.

The fix is simple: update to the final version 22H2 of Windows 10. If no program has been used to forcefully disable updates, genuine Windows 10 users should have received automatic updates until now. However, if you are not using a genuine version, Microsoft's automatic update feature will not work. This can lead to such issues. In that case, you need to update manually.

You can download it by clicking the link to the Microsoft website below.

Manual updates take about 30 minutes to 1 hour to complete.

Important Notes

During the manual update, there is a very small chance that your PC may encounter issues and fail to boot. Although this is unlikely, it is possible. To be safe, save important data to an external hard drive or cloud storage before proceeding. Once the update is complete, try connecting your Bluetooth device again. If it connects, the issue is resolved.

If Bluetooth Still Doesn't Work

If the Bluetooth device still doesn't connect, go to the Control Panel and uninstall all previously installed Bluetooth drivers. This step is particularly relevant for users who have installed various Bluetooth drivers before the update. Having multiple Bluetooth drivers installed can cause conflicts and prevent connections. After removing all Bluetooth-related programs from the Control Panel, restart your PC and try connecting the Bluetooth device again. To access the Control Panel, search for "Control Panel" in the search bar at the bottom left of your monitor. Then, go to "Uninstall a program" and remove all Bluetooth entries.

If Files on the Desktop Disappear After the Update

Sometimes, after an update, only the Recycle Bin and Edge icons appear on the desktop. This can happen if there is a significant difference between the current Windows version and the previous version. Don’t worry and click on "This PC".

You should see a "windows.old" folder in the C: drive. Inside, navigate to the Users folder, then to the folder with your previous account name, and check the Desktop folder there. Your previous desktop files should be in this location. You can copy these files and use them as needed.

If downloading and installing the Bluetooth driver does not work, the only solution is to update Windows to the latest version. I have resolved many cases where customers reported Bluetooth issues on their PCs using this method, so I am sharing this solution. I hope this helps you resolve the issue quickly.
